Biography
Ember is one of the hottest bands to emerge from the live music capital of the world, Austin, Texas. Masters of modern rock, sultans of “hooks”, and kings on the stage it’s no wonder the buzz has started to ignite. Since their inception Ember has performed across the US including California, New York, Texas, Kansas, and Oklahoma to name a few. Ember was formed in 2003 and released their debut EP “Take Everything” (produced by Todd and Toby Pipes: Drowning Pool) in 2004. Immediately following the release of the album Ember was requested across much of the US from internet radio to FM radio and from venues to record labels. While Ember started to heat up with the spanned media attention they declined all label offers heeding the words of a fellow friend and professional colleague, Justin Fustenfeld (Blue October). Ember toured regionally and was contacted by Randy Spencer (Pitch Music) to develop the band further and in time, record their follow-up EP “Under Pressure” (2006) produced by Sylvia Massy Shivy (Deftones, Tool, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Powerman 5000, and others) at Radiostar Studios in Weed, California. From “Under Pressure” Ember released the song “Blind” as its first national single followed by a music video recorded with Underground Planet. The music video was charted on MTV topping out at 26 and 4 among “fan favorites.” In 2008 Ember signed with The Price Agency under the direction of J. Price. Following the union of Ember and J. Price, Ember started to flash all over the radar playing shows with Blue October, Theory of a Deadman, Parlor mob, Black Stone Cherry, and Faktion to name a few. Ember became one of the top requested bands on internet radio and gained endorsements from Rock Revival Jeans, Incredible Ears, Gibson, Mesa Boogie, Sabian and many others. Ember became a member of AFE (Armed Forces Entertainment) and was requested to tour with Hinder internationally. Ember is currently in the process of signing their major record label debut slated to be released in early spring of 2010. Ember has a wide road of opportunity ahead of them paved by the masses of fans, soldiers, friends, and family. Fueled by their passion to bring something special to every show, if you haven’t heard of Ember…. you will. Ember's album, "Embrace", will be released to retail on April 20, 2010 by VSR Music Group and will be distributed by EMI CMG. |
