Ever Stays Red has released a video for their single "Can't Explain". Filmed in a wooded area of Payson, AZ. The project would demand more from the band than they had originally anticipated. Guitarist Zach Andersen explains:
"The day we filmed the video was absolutely awful. Shooting began around 5AM. We had to play in 55-degree weather while being rained on with frigged well water. Needless to say, it was very cold. Also while this wa happening we were working with director Will Caple in trying to figure out which shots were going to work best."
The concept and direction was a collective effort by the band members themselves.
"Everyone thew in their ideas and we hammered out the final storyboard together. The hard part was finding enough extras but fortunately a local youth group volunteered to help us out. My sister, Jael, handled the dancer's choreography. Everything came together very well, we thought."
"C"C"Can't Explain" can be found on Ever Stays Red's 2008 release, On the Brink of It All. Layering lyrics infused with hope and devotion over expansive rock textures and immediately catchy melodies, the album retains the bands unabashedly purpose-driven message while charting new sonic territory.
